Superpositions

The exhibition Off to a Good Start at Viadukt Karlín presents works by thirteen artists, all of whom collaborate with Superpositions.

The criteria for the chosen works revolves around an exploration of aesthetic conventions and the construction of narratives informed by a broad spectrum of diverse aesthetic tendencies: from the polished and beautiful to the expressive, from the refined to the primal.

In this exhibition Viadukt Karlin becomes a venue for exhibiting works that are diverse both thematically and visually. Within this wide spectrum of aesthetics, a theme emerges that transcends the stereotypical perception of contemporary art.

The carefully designed and highly aesthetic space inside arch 36 of the Negrelli Viaduct often contrasts with works that oppose it, creating a vibrant mix of different media, visualities, and tendencies.
